At Imaging On Call, we have a team of teleradiology Workflow Coordinators who monitor each study that comes in through our servers. Every study that arrives is checked by a Workflow Coordinator to make sure all patient images have come through the system and that an adequate patient history is included. If they find that something is missing, our teleradiology Workflow Coordinators will immediately call the sending hospital and let them know. This proactive workflow process ensures that our customers’ patients receive quality care – fast.
Once all necessary patient information has been received, our Workflow Coordinators will assign the study to the most appropriate radiologist. If the study is a potential stroke or a critical stat, they will assign it as top priority and alert a radiologist to read it as soon as possible. Workflow Coordinators also answer the phones and assist our radiologists in contacting referring physicians for consults.
